Some kind words about Stu Goodall Band:
"Given that by next year they may well be playing sell-out gigs and on the way to stadium excesses, now might be a good time to get in on the act." (The Metro)
"Their last song, the appropriately named 'Leaving Song' showcased how the band work so well as a unit, with the energy focused on Goodall for the timings. The song encourages the crowd to “Stay for a while” and I'm sure we all left with the line “And I won't let you down” ringing in our ears"

Secret CDs' REVIEW
Here's a review from our last show courtesy of the Secret Cds' Team. Thanks guys:
The last act on stage was the Stu Goodall Band who we last reviewed at Acoustic Edinburgh. It was great to see them again tonight with a profound mix of wonderful lyrics and the sound of two acoustic guitars, an electric bass and a violin. The female backing vocalist lends extra depth to the performance. There were several clap-alongs to demonstrate the bands reception by the close-knit audience. Their song 'Sparks' again revealed the delicate balance of pitches between the four instruments. The song seems almost simple when you look at the individuals, but when played together the timing is perfect and the song harmonious. Good humour was shown from Goodall as he jokes about “tuning banter”. Their last song, the appropriately named 'Leaving Song' showcased how the band work so well as a unit, with the energy focused on Goodall for the timings. The song encourages the crowd to “Stay for a while” and I'm sure we all left with the line “And I won't let you down” ringing in our ears. The band hopes to release an album later in the year and if you haven't found them yet, do so now: http://www.myspace.com/stugoodallband.
A great big thank you once again to James Igoe and the Secret CDs team. The event is all about selling CDs at fantastic prices to account for the work of these wonderful artists, so head to www.secretcds.co.uk for more info.

Recent gig review 10/10, The Navaar
Stu is well known on the local musical circuit. He’s also highly respected & has an ever growing fan base. An unassuming quiet lad off stage, but genuinely one of the nicest blokes you’ll ever meet.
On stage he’s a consummated professional. He can turn his hands to just about anything. I’ve seen him play lead guitar, rhythm, mandolin & keyboards all to a very high standard. Plus he writes & produces as well! I wouldn’t be surprised in the least, if he could play the didgeridoo, balalaika, Trombone & double bass.
Tonight he was accompanied by two fantastic guitarists Rodrigo Braga & Ant Law, Anna on violin, backing vocals & lead vocals too. Plus of course Steve (bass) & Tony (drums). What a cracking combination. Totally mind blowing musicians all of them. If you like a bit of jazz, seriously check out Ant’s website.
The actual set was probably one of most mixed musical styles I’ve heard in Penicuik in a long time. Everything from Survivor, Queen, Bon Jovi to Phil Collins, Paolo Nutini & Coldplay. Basically something for everyone. And not a bad execution in any of them all played excellently. Stu even got the thumbs up from his biggest fan, his mum!
I haven’t seen a crowd enjoy a small session like this in a long time. I don’t think there was one person who didn’t enjoy the night.
I you haven’t seen Stu or the fantastic Whitlocks, seriously go along & check them out. Stu has a new website www.stugood.co.uk check it out. And pop along to give him support. You'll be going along to see the birth of a new musical talent on the circuit.
Extremely enjoyable night a good 10/10.

This is a night not to be missed, 8.30pm start....
Stu Goodall back at the Craigie - and it's £2 a pint !
Stu will be returning to the Craigiebield in Penicuik on Friday 17th April. As previously he will be performing three sets starting at 8 pm with some melodic splendor and culminating with the raucous 'sing and clapping' modern classics set. ... and the bar charges are £2 a pint all evening - don't miss it !!
Stu goes self-employed !
After doing the odd gig for the love of it for some time now, Stu has taken the plunge and gone self employed. All of us here at www.stugood.co.uk wish 'The Man' all the best .. keep visiting the site to see how this exciting project pans out.
